My Favorite Job

To be honest, I am not really sure about my idea of a dreamed job. Most of the time, I feel like there is no such thing as a perfect one. However, I would love to be an art teacher at some school in the future. This decission comes from two interests that I have had for a very long time: visual arts, and teaching. I strongly believe that a job like that could be very nutricious and enriching on a personal level. Besides, art lessons at schools are potencially dynamic, flexible and mutable because, a lot of the times, it allows teachers to experiment and develop different ways to teach, using various tools and skills. In addition to all of that, I see it as a way of contribution to the education of young people at schools. To accomplish this goal, I am planning on going to Art School next year, in order to get a Visual Arts degree, which means that I will abandon the career of geography, a career that I am currently studying at the Facultad de Arquitectura y Urbanismo, to go to the

My Favorite TV show

Imagen
I don't watch TV very often, however, my favorite series is The Simpsons. It shows a lot of different stories in each episode, which don't necessarily have a cronological order between one and other. The protagonist of the series is a typical north american family from the US conformed by Homer (the dad), Marge (the mom), Bart, Lisa and Maggie (the kids). They all live in Springfield, the town where they go to school/work and develope their lives along the other people who live in Springfield. There are many episodes throughout the first 15 seasons that I might consider my favorite. If I had to mention one of them, I would remember that episode in which Bart, Milhouse, Martin and Nelson rent a car using Bart's fake driver's license, in order to tour different cities. At one of those stops, the characters find themselves without money in a city far away from Sprinfield, so they must return home through unconventional ways. The Simpsons is a series that I love to watch

My Best Friend

My best friend's name is Jose Pablo Alarcón. I met him when he came to my school in sixth grade about 12 years ago, and we became friends a few days after I got to my school, since we both trained at my school's football team, where we shared many afternoons of playing football, and even weekends, in which we played against the selections of other schools. I consider Jose Pablo my best friend because he is someone I have always been able to trust and because of the fact that we maintain a very close relationship despite the pass of time, Furthermore, despite problems we have had in the past, we always find a way, through dialogue, to overcome the problems that may affect us. I have many memories with Jose Pablo, many of them occurred at school, escaping from class or smoking cigarettes inside the school, other memories are more recent, such as last summer when we went together on vacation to the beach. Today, we still see each other frequently, as we live a few blocks

Post 2: The Best Concert ever

Imagen
The best concert I have ever seen  was Jorge Gonzalez’ concert at Movistar Arena in November 27th, 2015. Months before the concert, Jorge Gonzalez, one of the best chilean musicians ever, suffered the consecuences of a very serious stroke  which almost led him to death. Due to his accident, the concert called “Nada Es Para Siempre” meant Jorge’s return to the stage, with a lot of expectation about his health and his artistic performance behind. It was a great return if you ask me!! He sang about ten songs, however, the concert was mainly a tribute. Great chilean artists like Los Tres, La Ley, Javiera Mena, Pedro Piedra, Florcita Motuda and 31 Minutos performed various versions of Jorge Gonzalez’ songs from his solo career as well as some songs from Los Prisioneros’ era. The concert was very unique, moving and exiting for me. I went with my brother and one of my cousins. We had such a great time!!!. It  bought together the best artists of the chilean scene around the figure of J

Post 1: A Country I would like to visit

Imagen
A country that  I would like to visit is Bolivia. one of my main reasons for wanting to visit Bolivia is to know the reality of the country beyond what one can imagine from Chile. Through this trip, I would like to learn as much as I can about the different cultures that exist in the country, because Bolivia is constitueted as a multinational state. In addition to knowing the rich cultural features that make up the country, I would like to know the different landscapes that make up the Bolivian territory, as for example, Lake Titicaca, Salar de Uyuni, Colorado Lake, and the Aryplan in general. In addition to that, I would like to visit different cities that make up the urban areas of Bolivia, such as the city of La Paz, Santa Cruz de la Sierra and Copacabana, city located on the lake Titicaca. I think it is important to know Bolivia because of how altered our perception of the reality of this country may be due to the cultural  and media social dynamics that are developed in Chile
